paniculata Kirchenfürst (Karl Foerster 1966)This impressive Phlox has rich purple flowers on 3ft plants that have a good fragrance. It is difficult to capture the colour fully on a digital camera. The Literal translation of the name is "Prince of the Church" - possibly referring to the archbishop purple colouring.
