Helenium Rubinkuppel (Karl Foerster)

Helenium Rubinkuppel © 2009 SpecialPerennials.com all rights reserved

The name means "Ruby Dome", possibly referring to the shape of the flower head as individual flowers are not domed at all. Its leaves are unusually dark green and mottled with an almost black overlay. It is about 4ft tall and flowers from mid August. The variety Lambada is more or less identical to Rubinkuppel except Lambada seems to be more vigorous.
