This variety is distinctive for its mid-tan coloured cones and undersides
to the upswept petals which give it a very warm glow. Its average
height is 3ft 8in / 110cm but this varies greatly with soil quality. In
poor soils it is shorter. It flowers from mid August to late
September.
Said to be a poor doer, but does quite well in a dry spot in poor soil
for us. “Baronin” = “Baroness”.
