Wesergold has good clear lemon yellow flowers. the cones are tan coloured, maturing chestnut and it grows to 2ft 9in / 80cm tall. It flowers from mid June. Sometimes the flowers gains a green "fringe" in the central cone, particularly in cool, wet weather due to the calyces not unfurling fully.
