Pumilum Magnificum

Helenium Pipsqueak (Stephen Jackson 1998)
Diminutive plants (15” / 35cm tall) with brown-coned, yellow flowers with down swept petals from late June.

It was introduced by Blooms on behalf of Stephen Jackson from Ilkeston, Derbyshire, England

We are told that European Plant Varietal Rights were denied because of its distinct similarity to "The Bishop". However it flowers slightly later than "The Bishop” and the flowers have more of a "pinched waist". In our opinion it is altogether a superior plant to The Bishop - more robust, more floriferous and healthier. Also, what a brilliant name! (Stephen tells me it was originally going to be named "Shuttlecock" because of the flower shape).
