Spaces are limited and pre-booking is essential. Each event costs only £5.00 per ticket and includes:

An informative and entertaining talk full of brilliant colour photography and practical tips and tricks.
Complimentary light refreshments
A tour of our garden with practical demonstrations of the skills and techniques covered in the talk
10% discount on plants purchased on the day.
July 8 - Day Lilies for every garden

Daylilies (Hemerocallis) are glorious and rewarding additions to the garden with all the splendour of lilies but none of the problems with lily beetle. With nearly 2,500 varieties available in the UK choice can be bewildering. This event takes you through the range of daylilies available and helps you select varieties that will suit the British climate. Martin will give you proven methods for successful growing. Then take a tour through our garden where we have hundreds of varieties growing and for sale in our plant nursery.

August 12 Heleniums and other late summer flowers

Our National Collection of Heleniums provides the centrepiece for this talk with sizzling colour and a fascinating insight into the cultivation and history of these brilliant flowers. We will also cover other late summer flowers like Rudbeckia, Aster and Boltonia. Then come into our garden and see the stunning array of August bloom and listen to the contented buzz of bees. Probably the world's largest range of Heleniums will be on sale in our plant nursery.

September 9 - Late bloomers to extend the season

We all want to extend our season of flower beyond midsummer and into autumn. This talk recommends some of the proven autumn performers from our garden. The garden tour gives practical advice on how make use of grasses and seed heads to complement the late bloomers.

To book please print the booking form (click here to open) (pdf format) and post to us with your payment.
