Phlox paniculata Norah LeighPhlox paniculata Norah Leigh (Joan Elliot)

Norah Leigh has lovely variegated cream and green foliage and small pale pink flowers with a deeper pink eye and some fragrance. She is of medium height and fairly early to flower.

A lot of garden design books state that her foliage clashes with the flowers; not so in my opinion and I love using her in my plantings.

As with all variegated Phlox, she sometimes sends up a plain green stem; these are best pulled up from their base as they are more vigorous than the parent. You need to propagate her from cuttings or very careful division as the variegation does not come from the root buds.
