Iliamna:

Common name: Wild Hollyhock

Mallow-like plants from North America with tall stems clothed in cupped flowers. Best in deep soils and a sunny, open site that is not boggy. Propagation is by seed.  Seeds and seed heads are said to be toxic.

Iliamna rivularis: (Streambank Hollyhock) 4-5ft stems clothed with pale pink silky flowers in summer. An interesting valuable addition to the garden that prefers moist soils and will be much shorter in dry soils.
