Pimpinella:

A lovely Umbellifer native to the UK with long tap roots and finely divided, ferny leaves. Like all flowers of this type they are loved by bees and insects.

Common name: Anise.

Propagation is by seed. 

Pimpinella major Rosea  

Whilst enjoying current high fashion status this is a British native with pale pink flowers are often seen on grassy roadsides, meadows and woodland edges from June to September. About 3ft tall (taller in rich soils). Prefers moist soils.
