Dicentra: (Common Names: Lady in a Bath, Bleeding Heart)

The common names refer to the distinctive shape of the flowers (for the "Lady in the Bath", turn the flower upside down and imagine an old fashioned hip bath). Best in summer shade but in a bright spot in spring. They spread by underground stems and are reasonably easy to divide, however any broken stems left in the ground will sprout again.

Dicentra Stuart BoothmanDicentra Stuart Boothman: Grey-green fern like leaves and pink flowers from April into July. About 1ft tall in flower.  Good for light shade. Tolerant of dry soils.
