Dicentra:
(Common Names: Lady in a Bath,
Bleeding Heart)
The common names refer
to the distinctive shape of the flowers (for the "Lady in the
Bath", turn the flower upside down and imagine an old fashioned hip
bath). Best in summer shade but in a bright spot in spring. They spread by
underground stems and are reasonably easy to divide, however any broken
stems left in the ground will sprout again. |
