Ageratina

Plants formally in Eupatorium and now moved by the botanists into this genus. 

Members of the Asteraceae family from North America. The plants contain a toxin that is harmful in quantity.

Formally called Eupatorium rugosa "Chocolate". Chocolate brown foliage in Spring and Summer with the leaves turning slightly greener by Autumn.

Late flowering with sprays of white flowers from late October. About 90cm / 3ft tall and forming a clump about 60cm / 2ft across in time. Good in sun or partial shade; the best leaf colour occurring in sun.

Common name: White Snakeroot.
