A British-bred daylily that has stood the test of time and still comes up as a strong favourite with gardeners.  Its got everything going for it.  The flowers are large and held on long elegant stems about 3ft 9in tall - just right for the middle of the border. It starts flowering in late July / early August and it goes on into the Autumn when most daylilies have finished. Lastly it is sumptuous colour - deepest red with black-red highlights.

Over 50 years old and still our favourite daylily
