This is old heritage variety that keeps its
place in the garden because of its good flowering ability and easy-to-place
colour.
It will keep its place in Daylily
history as the first hint of blue in a Daylily. At the time of
introduction the lavender colour was new and unique and was soon taken up
by hybridisers seeking true blue flowers.
She is in flower from June and is neat
and tidy at about 2ft tall. Some books suggest that she dislikes wet
conditions.
Note: "Woodbery" is the
correct spelling of the name.
