Helenium Waltraut AGM

Lovely shaggy flowers that deepen in intensity of orange as they mature. Medium height at 2ft 9" - 3ft / 80 - 90cm. Flowers from early July.  Responds well to a fierce haircut in early September, soon sending up more bloom. NB this plant is variously spelt as "Waltraut" (current RHS Plant Finder), "Waldtraut" or "Waltraud", the current name being probably correct.  Introduced by Deutschmann in 1947.
