Helenium Ruby Thuesday
Helenium Ruby Tuesday © 2010 SpecialPerennials.com all rights reservedOriginally called Ruby Tuesday (a song by the Rolling Stones) it was renamed after being on the market for a couple of years. "Thuesday" is “somewhere between Tuesday and Thursday”, i.e. Wednesday.

The flowers are small, very dark, almost black red at first with quilled petals. It flowers from mid August and grows to about 2ft / 60cm tall in the ground.  Apparently it was bred for container culture. It is not as hardy as most varieties.
