Lovely
golden flowers dusted with red. Tall - up to 5ft 3in / 155cm even our sandy soil. Flowers from
early August.
The name translates as "Gold Fever".
Is this where the term "Gold Rush" came from? (ps: we have seen this
plant for sale under the name Gold Rush and described as a "new
variety"! Other synonyms include "Gold Intoxication" ).
Taller than the similar H."Zimbelstern".
Introduced by Karl Foerster in 1942
