Helenium Goldrausch (Karl Foerster 1952)
Goldrausch has lovely golden flowers dusted with red. It is tall - up to 5ft 3in / 155cm even our sandy soil and flowers from early August.

The name translates as "Gold Fever". It is also probably the most renamed Helenium ever: we have seen this plant for sale under the names Gold Rush (described as a "new variety"!) as well as "Gold Intoxication" and "Gold Fever".

Helenium Goldrausch is a favourite of Honey Bees in our garden in August and September © 2011 SpecialPerennials.com all rights reserved
