This is a plant acquired from
Germany
that is completely different to the other Goldlackzwerg in our collection
and more akin to the plant described in the 1961 RHS trial of Heleniums. The
plant is not particularly dwarf ("Zwerg") - about 3ft tall and
bright red streaked with gold - very lovely. The fresh leaves are narrow
and bronzed when young. It is one of the few Heleniums that doesn’t
respond to deadheading.
Please specify Goldlackzwerg
(Foerster) if ordering.
