This is a tall plant often exceeding 5ft 6in 165cm but its sturdy stems ensure that it doesn't require staking. It flowers from early August and the individual flowers are very long lasting. 

Gartensonne is distinguished from  Riverton Beauty and Bressingham Gold by it leaf shape which is more tooth-edged. Also it is a bit taller than the others. 

RHS Award of Garden Merit: Originally given an Award of Merit in 1914.
