Dauerbrenner has really rich red petals with gold-flecked edges It is
distinguished from Potters Wheel by less mark waviness of the petal edges,
and altogether brighter colour. It starts flowering in late July and grows
to 3ft 6in - 4ft. Like many of the reds, in some weather conditions the
flowers can start off orangey yellow.
The name
translated literally means “Slow Burner”.
