Butterpat

Helenium Butterpat (Alan Bloom 1963)
This is a good yellow that we've had for many years with distinctive pale green foliage and yellow cones on bushy and well branched plants. It grows to around 3ft / 90cm and starts flowering from early August.

This is a variety that really benefits from good soil; sulking in dry, hungry soils.

As with other varieties, inferior yellow seedlings often turn up under this name.
