There is a lot of confusion about plants carrying this
name. Because it is one of the few Heleniums with an Award of Garden Merit, lots
of inferior yellow seedlings get given this name. The true plant is a late
flowerer, only really getting going by mid August; fairly compact at around 2ft
9in - 3ft / 80-90cm and carrying sprays of flower in flat heads that often have
orange-red markings on the reverse. The cultivar name literally means
"bloom table" referring to the flat heads of flower.
