Centaurea Blewit

and then officially called
triumfettii x. montana
now formally named "Blewit" (see our garden diary for February
2010 for the background to this naming)
Pale lilac-blue cornflowers and ground hugging grey-green leaves. The flower stems
reach about 20-30cm. Flowers from early May to August. Leaves may die back after the
hottest part of the summer but new leaves soon appear again. Drought tolerant
and needs well drained soil. Best in a sunny spot.
